Abstract
The objective of this research is to determine whether there is an influence of teacher's teaching style towards students’ English learning interest in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Paguyangan in the academic year 2021/2022. This is a descriptive quantitative with the research subjects’ the eighth grade students which consist of 65 students. Technique of data dollection in this research ued analytical data using product moment statistics. The result of this research shows that there is an influence of teacher's teaching style towards students’ English learning interest in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Paguyangan in the academic year 2021/2022. This is evidenced by the value of "r" product moment rxy of 0,315 with df = 63, at a significance level of 5% the result is 0,244. So that rxy > "r" table (0,315> 0,244) in other hand, there is an influence of teacher's teaching style towards students’ English learning interest in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Paguyangan in the academic year 2021/2022, which means Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and Null Hypothesis (H0) is rejected. The correlation between teacher's teaching style towards students’ English learning interest has a low correlation significance because it stand in the 0,20-0,40 position.
